The Southern Ohio Association of Realtors Inc. has named Judge Robert P. Ringland of the Ohio Twelfth District Court of Appeals as the recipient of the 2008 Directors’ Award.
Ringland received the award for his work in Clermont County with families in danger of losing their homes to foreclosures. He received the award March 14 at the Southern Ohio Association of Realtors award banquet in Loveland.
He has been a judge of the Twelfth District Court of Appeals since January 2009. Before taking the bench at the Twelfth District, he served as judge of Clermont County Court of Common Pleas for 26 years. Before serving as common pleas judge, he served as judge of the Clermont County Court for six years, was an assistant Clermont County prosecuting attorney for three years and a practicing attorney for 11 years.
The Twelfth District Court of Appeals is in Middletown and reviews cases from Brown, Butler, Clermont, Clinton, Fayette, Madison, Preble and Warren counties. Judges currently include Ringland, Judge H.J. Bressler of Hamilton, Judge William W. Young of Middletown, Judge Stephen W. Powell of West Chester and Judge Robert A. Hendrickson of Monroe.
