Encourage teens you know to take part in the American Red Cross Leadership Development Center (LDC), to be held from July 19 – 22, on the campus of Thomas More College in Crestview Hills, Ky. The theme this year is “A New Dawn.”
Now in its 29th year, this 4-day, 3-night leadership conference is designed to give students between the ages of 13 and 18, and entering grade 8–12, the opportunity to participate in leadership sessions, learn about the American Red Cross and the value of service, and meet new friends from different walks of life — all in a fun environment, led by teen counselors.
The cost of LDC is $180, which includes all activities, meals, lodging and a conference T-shirt. Sponsorship funds are available on a limited basis.
Applications are available on the American Red Cross website at this link: LDC 2012 Application.
LDC 2012 has 100 opening for students participants. These spaces will fill fast, so early application is encouraged. The application deadline is May 4.
If you would like to have a presentation on LDC for a group of students, contact us and we will arrange for a speaker.
