Forums for GOP county commissioner candidates Feb. 9, 13

Two public forums are set for Republican Clinton County Commissioner candidates in the March 15 primary election.

The first, hosted by the Clinton County Tea Party, will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9 at the Hampton Inn in Wilmington. Audience participation is encouraged.

The second, hosted by the Clinton County Republican Party, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 13 at the Wilmington High School auditorium. This forum will last approximately two hours. Each candidate for each of the two races will have the opportunity to make a three-minute opening statement. There will be questions written on note cards by the audience read by the moderator to the candidates. The forum will wrap-up with one-minute closing remarks by each participating candidate.

Candidates on the March 15 primary ballot for the commission seat which begins Jan. 3, 2017 are Republicans James Fife and Kerry Steed as well as Democrat Dean Feldmeyer.

Running for the commission seat which begins Jan. 2, 2017 are Republicans Gregory Grove, Terry Habermehl, Scott Holmer, Mike McCarty and Brenda Woods.
