WILMINGTON — A Clinton County grand jury has indicted William J. Carter, 39, of Wilmington, who is charged with three counts of grand theft, theft, five counts of receiving stolen property, carrying a concealed weapon, and improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle.

Charges stem from allegations Carter stole from R+L Carriers, which the News Journal reported in late December. According to Kentucky media reports, Carter allegedly stole an R+L semi-trailer that contained cigarettes, cigars and janitorial supplies. Items from the trailer were allegedly found in his Wilmington home and in his Hamilton business.

Also indicted was a 22-year-old woman, alleging she had unlawful sexual conduct with a boy, 15.
