COLUMBUS (AP) — Gas pump prices for a gallon of regular fuel have dropped about 40 cents from the average a month ago.
The state average reported in Monday’s survey from auto club AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and WEX Inc. was about $1.50 compared with around $1.90 a month ago.
Ohioans also are seeing about a 10-cent drop from the previous week.
The state’s average price remained below the national average of $1.74 reported Monday.
The survey reports that the average price in Ohio a year ago was about $2.25, compared with a national average of around $2.18.
Gas prices have continued to remain relatively low as a result of the reduced seasonal demand and falling crude oil costs.
