The Highland County Sheriff’s Office assisted in an incident Thursday where a man and another subject barricaded themselves inside a house after the man allegedly rammed a Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office cruiser the day before, according to sheriff Donnie Barrera.

Barrera said that at 10:50 a.m. Thursday his office received a call from the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office stating that they had detectives coming into Highland County following a vehicle. The sheriff said the vehicle was believed to be occupied by Michael Hall, 33, of Mount Orab, who was reportedly involved in an incident Wednesday with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office where a sheriff’s cruiser was rammed.

Deputies from Highland County assisted in looking for the vehicle, but were unable to locate it at that time.

At 12:22 p.m. Thursday, deputies from the Clinton County and Highland County sheriff’s offices located the vehicle parked at a residence in Brown County on SR 251. Officers from the Brown County Sheriff’s Office came to the scene along with Ohio State Highway Patrol officers, Barrera said.

According to Barrera, several people were taken into custody at the residence, and they advised that Michael Hall and his sister, Erica Hall, were inside a mobile home.

Michael Hall and Erica Hall barricaded themselves inside of the mobile home and would not respond to deputies attempting to get them to come out, Barrera said.

Officers with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office contacted the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office, which dispatched the Clermont County Special Response Team to the scene.

After several attempts to get the subjects to surrender to deputies over a PA system, Erica Hall surrendered herself to deputies. After she was taken into custody, the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team made entry into the mobile home and located Michael Hall rolled up inside of a couch, according to Barrera.

Barrera said that Michael Hall was taken into custody without incident. Michael Hall has a felony warrant from Highland County with pending charges to follow from the latest incident’s assisting agencies.
