10 guilty, 4 not in Clinton County Municipal Court

WILMINGTON — The following report is compiled using a disposition report provided by the Clinton County Municipal Court. The information includes the name of the defendant, age, location (if listed), charge disposed, fine, court costs assessed, jail sentence and any special conditions. Municipal Judge Mike Daugherty oversees the court, which handles misdemeanors, traffic cases and some civil cases. Only the criminal misdemeanors are included here.

The following were recently found guilty or pled guilty in Clinton County Municipal Court:

• Sonny Allender, 19, of Wilmington, theft and obstruction of official business, sentenced 270 days jail (261 days suspended), fined $1,750, assessed $230 court costs, supervised probation, no contact with victim business except to write an apology letter. If compliant, court will suspend $500 of the fine.

• Robert Taylor, 60, theft, sentenced 180 days jail (177 days suspended), fined $1,000, assessed $115 court costs, supervised probation, pay $22.55 restitution, no contact with victim business except to write a letter of apology. If compliant, court will suspend $500 of Taylor’s fine.

• Adam Doan, 25, of Martinsville, theft, sentenced 30 days jail, fined $250, assessed $100 court costs, must complete 30 hours community service, pay restitution.

• Zachary Williams, 23, of Chillicothe, possession of marijuana, fined $130, assessed $120 court costs.

• Alexis Eckley, 18, of Wilmington, possession of marijuana, fined $100, assessed $115 court costs.

• Andrew Peters, 24, of Wilmington, two counts of possession of marijuana, fined $155, assessed $115 court costs, contraband ordered destroyed.

• Amber Nickell, 26, of Wilmington, possession of drug abuse instrument, sentenced 90 days jail, fined $750, assessed $115 court costs, driver’s license suspended for six months.

• Richard Gardner, 46, of Wilmington, possession of drug abuse instrument, sentenced 90 days jail, fined $750, assessed $115 court costs, supervised probation. If compliant, court will suspend $500 of Gardner’s fine.

• Danielle Adams, 23, of South Salem, possession of marijuana, fined $100, assessed $115 court costs.

• Charles Cordy, 30, of Wilmington, trespassing, sentenced 10 days jail (suspended), fined $50, assessed $115 court costs, no contact with victim business, no similar offense for two years and unsupervised probation.

The following had charges against them dismissed:

• Joseph West, 32, of Wilmington, possession of drug abuse instrument; charge dismissed.

• Anthony Atkins, 29, of Wilmington, two counts of possession of a drug abuse instrument, one count possession of criminal tools and one count theft; all charges dismissed without prejudice.

• James Wilder, 53, of Wilmington, disorderly conduct; charge dismissed upon completion of diversion program.

• Clifford Thompson Jr., 21, of Wilmington, theft; charge dismissed upon completion of diversion program.

• Travis Minton, 38, of Lynchburg, conceal carry weapon violation; charge dismissed.

Also in municipal court:

• Dennis Lechner, 38, of Hillsboro, was transferred to Clinton County Common Pleas Court for two counts of allegedly assaulting an officer.
