13 sentenced in Clinton County Municipal Court

WILMINGTON — The following report is compiled using a disposition report provided by the Clinton County Municipal Court. The information includes the name of the defendant, age, location (if listed), charge disposed, fine, court costs assessed, jail sentence and any special conditions. Municipal Judge Mike Daugherty oversees the court, which handles misdemeanors, traffic cases and some civil cases. Only the criminal misdemeanors are included here.

The following were found guilty or pled guilty to crimes during the week of April 18 through April 22:

• Jeffery Jackson, 33, of Washington Court House, two counts theft, sentenced 360 days jail, fined $2,000, assessed $230 court costs, no contact with victim business, must pay restitution to victim business.

• Gary Seitz, 25, of Sabina, theft and unauthorized use of property, sentenced 60 days jail (54 days suspended), assessed $230 court costs, pay restitution, write letter of apology to victim person and victim business, complete 20 hours community service, no contact with victim business nor victim person.

• Dawn Lanham, 28, of Clarksville, theft, sentenced 30 days jail (suspended), fined $100, assessed $115 court costs, supervised probation, no contact with victim business, write letter of apology to victim business, must complete 16 hours community service at Wilmington’s landfill.

• Teresa Barrera, 49, of Wilmington, theft, sentenced 30 days jail (suspended), fined $100, assessed $115 court costs, pay restitution, no contact with and write letter of apology to victim business, complete 16 hours community service at the Wilmington landfill.

• Matthew Osterhues, 23, of Wilmington, two counts possession of marijuana, fined $200, assessed $230 court costs, driver’s license suspended six months. A separate charge of possessing marijuana and three charges of possessing drug paraphernalia against Osterhues were dismissed.

• Austin Jarbo, 22, of Gratis, criminal damages, sentenced five days jail, fined $100, assessed $115 court costs, must complete eight hours community service, write letter of apology to the Wilmington Police Department.

• Courtney Kirby, 19, of Franklin, criminal damages, sentenced five days jail, fined $100, assessed $115 court costs, must complete eight hours community service, write letter of apology to Wilmington Police Department.

• Justice Hager, 21, of Versailles, disorderly conduct, fined $30, assessed $115 court costs.

• James Barnhill Jr., 44, of Columbus, disorderly conduct, assessed $115 court costs.

• Sophie Barnhill, 45, of Columbus, disorderly conduct, assessed $115 court costs.

• William Howard, 45, of Miamisburg, disorderly conduct, fined $100, assessed $115 court costs.

• April Claxton, 36, of Clarksville, possession of drug abuse instrument, sentenced 90 days jail, fined $750, assessed $115 court costs, driver’s license suspended for six months. Probation will assess Claxton for treatment-based alternatives.

• David Bodnarik, 32, of Martinsville, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, fined $100, assessed $115 court costs.

The following had charges against them dismissed:

• Alex Foster-Coleman, 22, of Detroit, felonious assault; charge dismissed without prejudice at prosecutors’ request.

• Travis Creamer, 33, of Sabina, possession of marijuana; charge dismissed.

• Jarrod Ward, 32, of Sabina, domestic violence; charge dismissed.

• Anthony Campbell, 44, of Sabina, passing bad checks; charge dismissed upon payment of court costs.

• Lindsey West, 30, of Sabina, possession of drug abuse instrument; charge dismissed.

• Nicole Brinlee, 30, of Hillsboro, possession of marijuana; charge dismissed.

Also in Clinton County Municipal Court:

• Griffin Wise, 32, of Wilmington, charged with improper handling of a firearm and felonious assault, was bound over to Clinton County Court of Common Pleas. A charge of child endangerment against Wise was dismissed without prejudice.
