Animal lovers and kids of all ages will want to attend a program by the Columbus Zoo Animal Ambassadors at The Murphy Theatre at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 14 — with $1 pizza slices and face painting at 12:30 p.m., and a costume parade at 1:30 p.m.

Presented by Air Transport Services Group, in coordination with Donatos Pizza, tickets for this program are just $8 for adults for main-floor seating. Because of the generous sponsors, up to five children (ages 14 and under) are free with each adult who attends.

Coupons for $3 off an adult ticket may be picked up at the Wilmington Donatos; or bring a Donatos receipt to the Murphy box office for $3 off. That means one adult and five children could potentially attend the zoo program for a total of $5 with coupon/Donatos receipt.

Zoo handlers will bring animals to share and will talk about their behavior and habitat. Children who wear a costume (including those with face paint) will receive a free coupon for a small Donatos pizza. Those in attendance may be eligible for a drawing for four tickets to the Columbus Zoo.

This is an opportunity to see zoo animals up close in Wilmington. The show is both educational and enjoyable for all ages.

The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium is home to more than 10,000 animals representing over 600 species from around the globe. The zoo complex is a recreational and education destination that includes the 22-acre Zoombezi Bay water park and the 18-hole Safari Golf Club. The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium also operates the Wilds, a 10,000-acre conservation center and safari park located in southeastern Ohio.
