WILMINGTON — The Knights of Columbus Council 3369 has selected the Wilmington Schools Foundation (WSF) as its chosen charity for the 2016 Wilmington Oktoberfest, Sept. 23 and 24 at St. Columbkille Catholic Church.

The Wilmington Schools Foundation supports Wilmington City Schools students, faculty and staff to enhance academic excellence, and quality arts, athletic and leadership programs.

“WSF is very excited for this opportunity to work with the Knights of Columbus again this year,” Foundation Executive Director Chastity Flanigan said. “Despite the weather last year, it was a rewarding event for us. We can’t thank the Knights enough for what they do for our community.”

For the last 15 years, the Wilmington Oktoberfest has given more than $100,000 to Clinton County charities.

The Knights of Columbus are also accepting sponsors for this year’s Wilmington Oktoberfest. Anyone interested in being a sponsor can contact Bob Schaad at [email protected], or Wilmington Oktoberfest on Facebook at “Wilmington Oktoberfest” or on Twitter @wilmingtonkofc.

Established in 1950, the Knights of Columbus Council 3369 at St. Columbkille Catholic Church works to provide service to charitable groups and persons in need.
