MORROW – Troopers from the Ohio State Highway Patrol Lebanon Post are investigating a head-on crash in Morrow that took place at about 2:15 p.m. Wednesday.

According to the OSHP, Emma Boatrite, 77, was traveling eastbound on Pike Street, driving a 1998 Toyota van. Troopers say a vehicle driven by Tracy Ward, 46 of Pleasant Plain, pulled from a private drive in the 400 block of Pike Street and struck the Boatrite vehicle head-on.

Boatrite along with Ward, Shannon Todd and four children that were in the Ward vehicle — ranging in age from 6 to 12 — were all transported to area hospitals.

Troopers were assisted by the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, Hamilton Township Police Department, Salem-Morrow Fire Department, Harlan Township Fire Department, Hamilton Township Fire and Rescue, Turtle Creek Township Fire Department, Union Township Fire Department, City of Lebanon Fire Department and Deerfield Township Fire Department.

The crash remains under investigation and alcohol is considered to be a factor in the crash, according to the OSHP.
