Kids & Company ready for 23rd season

WILMINGTON — The “Best Christmas Pageant Ever” will be presented at the Wilmington High School auditeria on Friday, June 24 at 7 p.m. and on Saturday, June 25 at 1 p.m.

This bestselling story will be directed by Ken Lydy, associate vice president for student affairs at Wilmington College. Admission is free, but donations are accepted at the door.

Next on the summer schedule for young children drawn to drama is the Rising Star Drama Camp. It will be gearing up for its sixth season the week of July 11-15, from 9 a.m. to noon at Wilmington College’s Kelly Center.

Rising Star Drama Camp is for children 6 to 10 years of age with an interest in acting and storytelling.

Returning to lead the camp this summer is Karie Gipson from the Gigglebox Theatre Experience in Cincinnati. Enrollment is limited to 25. Registration forms are available in Wilmington at The Crave Candy and Nuts as well as For A Song & A Story, or online at http://bit.ly/KidsandCompany.

Drama Camp 2016 will be the week of Aug. 1 through 5, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at WC’s Kelly Center. Drama Camp welcomes kids 11 to 17 years of age to participate.

Participants will learn acting, improvisation, stage combat, makeup, singing and more from guest artists and teachers with years of theater experience. Registration is currently underway. Clinton County Kids & Company was founded in 1993 and continues to be dedicated to providing quality theatre arts experiences for the children and youth of Clinton County regardless of their economic level or special need.
