WILMINGTON — The Third Friday events sponsored by Main Street Wilmington are returning for another fun-filled summer downtown as part of their #DestinationDubtown campaign. The first Party at the Mural will be Friday, June 17 beginning at 6 p.m. at the mural parking lot on Main Street behind the General Denver Hotel.

The theme for the June party is Wine and Jazz, so wine will also be available for purchase in addition to food, beer, soft drinks and water. The party is free and will include entertainment by local bands — Copious Notes playing music from the Big Band era to the 1980s, and The Homebirds playing Blues & Funky Blues starting at 7:30 p.m.

Several art and craft vendors will also take part, and some downtown businesses will also stay open late on the Third Fridays for shopping and dining.

Main Street Wilmington invites you to grab your family and friends and come out to #DestinationDubtown and the Party at the Mural. More information is available at www.mainstreetwilmington.com or at their Facebook page.

Please note, the Main Street Art and Soul Community Art Show originally scheduled for Saturday was postponed.
