20 people indicted on drug charges in past month

WILMINGTON — In a month’s time, a Clinton County grand jury has brought drug charges against 20 people.

Overall, 32 people were indicted, four of them charged with failing to appear in court on a prior charge.

If those four people indicted because of an earlier, unresolved charge or charges are not included, then 71 percent of the individuals indicted locally over the past month are facing drug charges.

Below are the names, ages, towns of residence, and the particular charges lodged against the people indicted in early June and late May. The activities alleged in the charges reportedly occurred within Clinton County.

Matthew J. Hudnell, 35, of Blanchester, was indicted with possessing heroin and possessing cocaine.

Alexander A. Garcia, 21, of Wilmington, was indicted on the charges of burglary and petty theft.

Bryan R. Bennett, 23, of Blanchester, was indicted with illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs, illegal manufacture of drugs, endangering children, aggravated possession of drugs, and possessing criminal tools.

Trevor W. Jordan, 39, of Blanchester, was indicted with illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs, illegal manufacture of drugs, endangering children, aggravated possession of drugs, and possessing criminal tools.

Randall W. Baker, 35, of Blanchester, was indicted with aggravated possession of drugs, and possessing heroin.

Christopher William Keech, 31, of Blanchester, was indicted with illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs, illegal manufacture of drugs, endangering children, aggravated possession of drugs, possessing criminal tools, and permitting drug abuse.

Scott Coates, 32, of Xenia, was indicted with aggravated trafficking in drugs, aggravated possession of drugs, and possessing marijuana.

Brandon C. Tedrick, 29, of Westboro, was indicted with aggravated possession of drugs, and possessing heroin.

Travis M. Davis, 32, of Leipsic, Ohio, was indicted with aggravated possession of drugs.

John C. Hensley, 42, of Clarksville, was indicted with two counts of domestic violence.

Janson Philip Nace, 25, of Wilmington, was indicted with felonious assault.

Kyle Bradley Goings, 32, of Wilmington, was indicted with grand theft, and unauthorized use of a vehicle.

Israel Shalome Ephrem, 21, of Wilmington, was indicted with grand theft, and unauthorized use of a vehicle.

Nickolaus Kyle Garrison, 29, of Wilmington, was indicted with possessing heroin, aggravated possession of drugs, possessing drugs, and possessing drug abuse instruments.

Scott L. Brannon, 33, of Wilmington, was indicted with aggravated possession of drugs, and possessing drug abuse instruments.

Stanley M. Minzler, 35, of Washington Court House (formerly of Wilmington), was indicted with possessing heroin.

Ricky D. Johnson Jr., 35, of Wilmington, was indicted with possessing drugs.

Jason N. Fugate, 37, whose address is given as at-large (formerly of Wilmington), was indicted with receiving stolen property, theft, petty theft, and two counts of burglary.

David M. Varney, 38, of Sabina, was indicted with aggravated possession of drugs, and illegal conveyance of weapons or prohibited items onto grounds of a detention facility or institution.

Anthony Lewis, 25, of Waynesville, was indicted with aggravated possession of drugs.

Kerri B. Middleton, 42, of Hillsboro, was indicted with aggravated possession of drugs, and possessing drugs.

Robert A. Taylor, 60, of Wilmington, was indicted with aggravated possession of drugs, and possessing drugs.

Whitney N. Andrew, 27, of Blanchester (formerly of Goshen), was indicted with aggravated possession of drugs, and possessing drug abuse instruments.

Douglas Martin Andrew Jr., 35, of Blanchester, was indicted with aggravated possession of drugs, theft of anhydrous ammonia, and illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs.

David Willis Jr., 45, of Sabina, was indicted on the charges of assault and failing to appear, as well as with two counts of failing to comply with an order or signal of a police officer.

Roger P. Hughes, 57, of Middletown, was indicted on a charge of operating a vehicle under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Joseph F. Guthrie, 68, of Wilmington, was indicted with having weapons while under disability, and possessing marijuana.

Brandi L. Hadley, 39, of New Vienna, was indicted with theft of drugs.

Andrew James Calhoun, 33, of Wilmington, was indicted with failing to appear in court.

Jessey Bryant Hammonds, 25, whose address is given as at-large, was indicted with failing to appear.

Keauna M. Strickland, 26, of Wilmington, was indicted with failing to appear.

Brandi N. Turner, 34, of Wilmington, was indicted with failing to appear.
