Antique Power Club awards scholarships

The Antique Power Club of Clinton County awarded scholarships to area students at the annual Strawberries and Ice Cream Social Sunday, June 19 at the Expo Building at the Clinton County Fairgrounds.

Scholarship committee members Faye Mahaffey, Virginia Shiveley and Vicki Wilson presented checks to: Molly Boatman, a Wilmington City Schools graduate attending the School of Advertising Art; Olivia Harris, a Wilmington City Schools graduate attending the University of Cincinnati; and Crystal Walters, a graduate of Clinton-Massie High School attending Wilmington College.

The club’s plan is to award five scholarships per year — one each to a graduate of East Clinton, Clinton-Massie, Wilmington and Blanchester high schools — with the fifth scholarship given to an eligible Antique Power Club member, member’s spouse, child or grandchild who graduated from a high school outside of Clinton County.

The 2016 Antique Power Club officers are President Brad Rowland, Vice President Jake Beekman and Secretary/Treasurer Karl Eltzroth.
