The family of the late Marvin Peterson, along with Fair Board members and other well-wishers celebrate the ribbon-cutting for the extensively refurbished Peterson Building at the facility’s re-dedication Saturday. Third from the left in the front row is Mr. Peterson’s widow, Virgene Peterson, after she cut the ribbon. In remarks, Clinton County Commissioner President Mike Curry said there’s probably never been a bigger proponent of the county’s fair than Marvin Peterson, who was on the Fair Board from 1953 to 1994. In addition to Virgene, other members of the Peterson family attending the event were Bunny, Ed, Heath, Amanda, Owen, Aubrie and Curt Bradshaw; and Adam and Ava Peterson. Family unable to attend were Jay and Cindy Peterson, and Maggie Fadley.
