A 17-year-old Sabina girl was CareFlighted to a Dayton hospital after a crash Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of Stone and Melvin roads east of Wilmington.
The female juvenile, who was not immediately identified, was driving a 2004 Dodge Neon and reportedly failed to yield at a stop sign, according to the Wilmington post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP).
The driver of the other vehicle, a 1994 Ford F150 pickup, was Braden Tidd, 35, of Jamestown. Though the report lists Tidd as having possible injury; he declined to be transported from the scene for medical treatment.
The girl was taken by a medical helicopter to Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton.
Her vehicle was struck on the driver’s side, stated the OSHP crash report.
Both drivers reportedly were wearing safety belts.
The two-vehicle collision occurred about 4:26 p.m. Wednesday.
