WILMINGTON — The Wilmington Eagles Lodge will host a Community Blood Center (CBC) blood drive Wednesday, Oct. 12.

The event will be from noon to 6:30 p.m. Oct. 12 at the Eagles location at 141 E. Sugartree St. in Wilmington.

The “Buckeye Strong Blood Donor” ceramic coffee tumbler is a warm gift to everyone who registers to donate.

Donors are encouraged to schedule an appointment online at www.DonorTime.com or call 1-800-388-GIVE.

CBC stated it is celebrating the fall season and college football with the “Buckeye Strong Blood Donor” ceramic tumbler with removable silicone grip.

It’s free to anyone who registers to donate Monday, Oct. 10 through Saturday, Dec. 3 at any CBC Donor Center and most CBC mobile blood drives.

Donors are required to provide a photo ID that includes their full name. Past CBC donors are also asked to bring their CBC donor ID card.

Donors must be at least 16 years of age (16 years old with parental consent: form available at www.givingblood.org or at CBC branch and blood drive locations), weigh a minimum of 110 pounds, and be in good physical health.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) changes blood donor eligibility guidelines periodically. Individuals with eligibility questions are invited to email [email protected] or call 1-800-388-GIVE.
