BLANCHESTER — Blanchester Police are seeking the public’s help to find a boy who reportedly ran away from home Saturday.

On Monday, Oct. 17, Steven Haynes reported that his 14-year-old son, Donaven, had run away from home on Saturday night, according to Blanchester Police Chief Scott Reinbolt. The Haynes family resides in an apartment at 126 S. Broadway Street.

“The boy was last seen at around 9 p.m. Saturday when he took the trash out,” Reinbolt said. “According to his father, he has run away in the past but always returned.”

Blanchester police officers have been interviewing friends and associates of the boy in the hopes of locating him and making sure he is safe, Reinbolt said. So far, no leads have been produced.

“If anyone has any information on Donaven’s whereabouts, we ask that they contact the police department,” Reinbolt said. “Our primary goal is to assure the boy is safe, not to punish him.”
