BLANCHESTER —A Blanchester man and a Wilmington woman were arrested after a bizarre incident Sunday in Blaanchester.

Blanchester Police were called to the 5000 block of Sean Circle at around 4 a.m. when a resident reported someone was banging on the door and windows of her home. Two Clinton County Sheriff’s deputies responded to assist.

One of the deputies observed a partially clothed woman in the driveway of a residence in the neighborhood, found that she was wanted by Wilmington Police on a misdemeanor arrest warrant, and placed her under arrest, according to BPD Chief Scott Reinbolt.

The woman, who was rambling incoherently, according to Reinbolt, was identified as Destiny Tedrick, 24, of Jodie Lane, Wilmington. Tedrick appeared to be under the influence of some drug of abuse, police said.

Blanchester Police Sgt. Gary Mowen determined that Tedrick was the one banging on the door of the residence. She was charged with criminal trespass as a result of those actions and was taken to the Clinton County Jail, Reinbolt said. He added that Tedrick is currently on probation in the Clinton County Municipal Court, Reinbolt said.

An investigation was opened and was assigned to Cpl. James Beckelhymer of the Blanchester Police Department. Through his inquiries over the next two days, he gathered evidence showing that Tedrick consumed methamphetamine inside the home of Jeffery ‘Jacob’ Freytag at 5013 Sean Circle, Reinbolt said.

“After ingesting the drug, she became disoriented and erroneously believed some emergency existed involving one of her children and ran around the neighborhood banging on doors while partially clothed,” he said.

Freytag, 27, was charged with permitting drug abuse, an Ohio statute that makes it a misdemeanor crime to permit others to use illegal narcotics within one’s home, Reinbolt said. He will answer the charge in the Clinton County Municipal Court.
