Muni court judge sentences several to jail

WILMINGTON — The following report is compiled using a disposition report provided by Clinton County Municipal Court. The information includes the defendant’s name, age, residence if listed, charge(s) disposed, fine, court costs assessed, jail sentence and any special conditions. Municipal Judge Mike Daugherty oversees the court, which administers the law in criminal misdemeanor cases.

The following pled guilty or were found guilty of crimes between Oct. 25 and Oct. 31:

• John Goodson, 29, of Memphis, Tennessee aggressive trespassing, assault, sentenced to 360 days in jail (173 suspended), fined $2,000, assessed $250 court costs. Trespass charge amended from burglary felony 2, Goodson must have no contact with the victim, must not come to Wilmington, Ohio except to appear in court.

• Mikael Doyle-Pruitt, 29, of Wilmington, criminal damaging, vehicle trespassing, sentenced to 60 days in jail (40 days suspended), assessed $250 court costs. Damage charge amended from criminal damage misdemeanor 2, defendant shall commit no offenses for two years and be monitored by non-reporting probation, pay cost only.

• David Collins, 58, of Columbus, reckless operation, sentenced to 30 days in jail, fined $500, assessed $125 court costs. Jail stayed, Collins must have no similar offenses for one year, no ALS imposed, charge was amended from O.V.I. misdemeanor 1.

• Jason Vanhook, 41, O.V.I., sentenced to 180 days in jail, fined $1,075, assessed $125 court costs, operator’s license suspended from Aug. 7, 2016 to Aug. 7, 2017. Jail stayed to allow Vanhook to complete supervised probation, if compliant the court will suspend $375 of fine. Operator’s license sent to Ohio BMV, driving privalges granted immediately.

• Shannon Pauley, 40, of Wilmington, telephone harassment, sentenced to 30 days in jail (suspended), fined $500, assessed $125 court cases. Jail sentence was suspended on condition that Pauley have no contact with the juvenile court or probate court and write letter of apology, shall commit no offenses for three years, be monitored by non-reporting probation, and complete eight hours of community service at the landfill.

• Kathleen Reusser, 56, of of Wilmington, disorderly conduct, theft, sentenced to 210 days in jail (suspended), fined $1,250, assessed $250 court costs. Conduct charge was amended from obstruction official business misdemeanor 2, Reusser must write a letter of apology to victim, must commit no offenses for 24 months, must be monitored by non-reporting probation, must obtain mental health assessment.

• Thomas Shafer, 35, of Dayton, attempt to commit an offense, sentenced to 10 days in jail (suspended), fined $200, assessed $125 court costs. The charge was amended from attempted theft misdemeanor 2, must have no contact with victim, and shall commit no offense for 24 months. Shafer will be monitored by non-reporting probation, and obtain mental health assessment.

• Kenneth Carlson, 22, of Jamestown, criminal mischief, sentenced to 60 days in jail (suspended), fined $500, assessed $125 court costs. Carlson must pay $394.34 in restitution to victim. Defendant shall have no contact with any property of the business, and must commit no offense for 24 MOS and mintored by non-reporting probation A charge of public indecency was dismissed.

• Dylan Harner, 18, of Blanchester, driving under suspension-financial responsibility suspended, unsafe vehicle, fined $1,100, assessed $250 court costs. Harner must complete 100 hours of community service which will be suspended on condition that defendant must not commit other offenses for one year.

• Skye Storer, 30, of Wilmington, driving under suspension-financial responsibility suspended, seat belt violation, fined $130, assessed $125 court costs. Storer must pay costs only for seat belt violation.

• David Evans, 46, of Cold Springs, Kentucky going 90 in a 65 mph speed zone, fined $105, assessed $125 court costs. Case was waived by the defendant.

• Chad Henson, 40, of Wilmington, driving under suspension-financial responsibility suspended, fined $100, assessed $125 court costs.

• Cody St. John, 19, of Wilmington, driving under suspension-financial responsibility suspended, assured clear distance ahead, fined $130, assessed $125 court costs. St. John must pay costs only for ACDA charge.

• Karen Miley, 51, of Wilmington, two charges of dog at large, fined $100, assessed $125 court costs.

• Nancy Upshaw, 56, of Clarksville, dog at large, fined $30, assessed $125 court costs.

• Angela Rowan, 46, of Blanchester, disorderly conduct, assessed $125 court costs. Rowan must pay costs only.

• Brittany Henslee, 18, of Blanchester, disorderly conduct, fined $50, assessed $125 court costs.

• Haley Sigmon, 18, of Reesville, dog at large, fined $30, assessed $125 court costs.

• Lisa Grooms, 31, of Sabina, driving under suspension-financial responsibility suspended, fined $100, assessed $125 court costs.

• Jessie Lytle, 22, of Sabina, two counts of driving under suspension, sentenced to 10 days in jail (suspended), fined $200, assessed $250 court costs. Lytle must take positive steps to get valid operator’s license.

• Bryan Brunswick, 39, of Hillsboro, driving under suspension, sentenced to 30 days in jail (suspended), fined $100, assessed $125 court costs. Brunswick must complete remedial driving class.

• Michael Huston, 38, of Wilmington, possession of marijuana, driving under suspension, fined $350, assessed $250 court costs. A drug paraphernalia charge was dismissed.

• Nicholas Isebel, 20, of Wilmington, possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, fined $150, assessed $250 court costs.

• Alex Grace, 18, of Wilmington, drug paraphernalia, fined $100, assessed $125 court costs.

• Shirley Scott, 18, of Blanchester, disorderly conduct, fined $65, assessed $125 court costs. The case of waived by the defendant.

• Scott Harris, 61, telephone harassment, sentenced to 10 days in jail (eight suspended). Harris must commit no further offenses for one year, fines and costs were suspended.

• Shyaine Payne, 22, of Leesburg, drug paraphernalia, fined $100, assessed $125 court costs.

• Kevin Helton, 51, of Blanchester, driving under suspension-financial responsibility suspended, fined $50, assessed $125 court costs.

• Melissa Sanchez, 22, of Lewis Center, driving 90 in a 70 mph speed zone, fined $105, assessed $125 court costs. The case was waived by defendant.

• Samuel Malik, 19, of New Albany, going 95 in a 70 mph speed zone, fined $105, assessed $125 court costs. The case was waived by defendant.

• Hunter Grisso, 22, of Cincinnati, going 100 in a 70 mph zone, fined $105, assessed $125 court costs. The case was waived by the defendant.

• Francis Harpen, Jr., 29, of Wilmington, driving under suspension-financial responsibility suspended, fined $100, assessed $125 court costs.

• Tiffany Sturgill, 19, of Pleasant Plain, theft. Sentenced stayed to allow defendant to complete diversion.

• Lindsey West, 31, of Sabina, possession of drug instruments, sentenced to 60 days in jail (suspended), fined $50, assessed $125 court costs. West must commit no offenses for 24 months, be monitored by non-reporting probation.

• Timothy Estermyer, Jr., 28, of Wilmington, possession of drug instruments, sentenced to 180 days in jail (135 days of suspended), fined $250, assessed $125 court costs. Estermyer must commit no offense for 24 months, be monitored by non-reporting probation.

• Donald Routt, 36, of Wilmington, theft, fined $250, assessed $125 court costs. Routt must pay $704 in restitution, shall commit no offense for 24 months and monitored by non-reporting probation.

• Donte Davis, 26, of Wilmington, driving under suspension, sentenced to 30 days in jail (suspended), fined $500, assessed $125 court costs. Charge of driving under suspension-failure to pay reinstate fee, driving under suspension-financial responsibility suspended, and assure clear distance ahead were dismissed.

• Kelli Pringle, 27, of Wilmington, driving under suspension-financial responsibility suspended, fined $100, assessed $125 court costs. A charge of driving under suspension-failure to pay reinstate fee was dismissed.
