Churches to present Christmas cantata

NEW VIENNA — Each year the New Vienna Church of Christ teams up with two other congregations — Mount Olive and New Antioch Church of Christ — to present a Christmas cantata.

This year’s cantata will be held at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11 at the New Vienna Church of Christ. All are welcome.

FOP to hold Christmas bazaar

CLARKSVILLE — This Saturday, Dec. 10 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Fellowship of Praise (FOP) Church will hold its second annual FOP Christmas Bazaar.

There will be unique hand-made gifts, crafts, baked goods, Avon, essential oils, wood items and other items available for sale. A portion of the event proceeds will go to a Dominican Republic ministry.

The FOP church is located at 8625 routes 22/3 East in the Clarksville area.

Live Nativity at Blanchester church

BLANCHESTER — A live Nativity will be presented at First Baptist Church in Blanchester 5-7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17. Hot beverages and snacks will be served in the church’s AWANA building.

The public is cordially invited to view this reminder of the Savior’s birth.

Greenfield’s Pipes of Christmas — A Historic Organ Tour

GREENFIELD — An inaugural Christmastime event on the afternoon of Sunday, Dec. 11 will feature virtuosic performances on all three of Greenfield’s historic pipe organs, at the First Presbyterian Church, the Methodist Church and McClain High School. Ticketholders will be divided in half; each half will begin the tour in one of the churches promptly at 3 p.m. then switch. In addition to the organ performances, Moon Chimes of the Presbyterian Church and the Cockerill Bells of the Methodist Church will appear at their respective venues. After the church recitals, the audience halves will join in the high school auditorium for a finale, to include a performance by the new Community Choir and a spirited Christmas sing-along for all, accompanied by the organ.

Tickets may be purchased at the First Presbyterian Church and the Methodist Church as well as Greenfield’s Community Bank. Tickets are $5 and may be reserved by calling Kelly at the bank at 937-981-3123. Children under 6 are admitted free. For those who may need it, transportation will be available between the venues. Attendees should arrive at their first stop 10 to 15 minutes early.
