WILMINGTON — Wilmington High School senior Brooke Blakeman was recently selected to represent WHS as one of the Wilmington Noon Rotary Club’s November Students of the Month.

Brooke is known throughout the Wilmington community for her strong character, academic and civic leadership, and artistic expression. She is a member of the WHS Student Council, National Honor Society, and serves as vice president of the Interact Club and executive for the Key Club.

In addition to spending time with her family and friends, outside the classroom, Brook explores her passion for creating things. She enjoys spending time with nature, drawing, painting, writing, taking pictures, and playing her ukulele.

Looking to the future, Brooke is undecided about the direction of her college and career path. Having applied to Wilmington College, The Ohio State University, and Ohio University, Brooke says she is most interested in Ohio University. Brook is currently undecided on her area of study but is considering Ohio University’s School of Visual Communications and the study of commercial photography and photojournalism. She is also considering art education.

Brooke joined other area Students of the Month at the Wilmington Noon Rotary club luncheon held at Damon’s Grill in Wilmington.

She is the daughter of Aimee and Dan Blakeman.
