Retired teachers install new officers

WILMINGTON — The December meeting of the Clinton County Retired Teachers Association was held recently at the Presbyterian Church of Wilmington, where members and guests were welcomed by President Bobbi Hagen.

After a delicious luncheon prepared by Shoelaces Catering, the group was delightfully entertained by Senior Sensations, a dancing group that shared through dance and comedy memories of childhood Christmas Past.

As is the custom of the association, a short memorial service was held to remember CCRTA members Barbara Moore, Lawrence Gordon Walker, Wanda Hodge, Hannah Whitford, Margaret Dailey and Carol Uetrecht who had died during the calendar year.

Beverly Jones, past president and current nominating committee chair, introduced the slate of officers for 2017 and presided over their installation. After thanking the 2016 officers for their work, the officers for 2017 were installed: Penny Kincaid, President; Maggie Vance, Vice President; Barb Glass, Secretary; Donna Gibson, Assistant Secretary; Nancy Williams, Treasurer; and Judy Sargent, Assistant Treasurer.

The meeting was adjourned by new President Penny Kincaid. The next meeting will be in March.

The 2017 officers for the Clinton County Retired Teachers Association are Judy Sargent, Donna Gibson, Nancy Williams, Barb Glass, Maggie Vance and Penny Kincaid.
