Michael W. Faulkner, 63, of Wilmington, went home to be with the Lord 1:50 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017. His wife, Verna Thomas Faulkner, survives. They were married on Aug. 7, 1973.

Mr. Faulkner was born on Dec. 7, 1953 in Wichita Falls, Texas, a son of Eileen Lentz Faulkner of Englewood, Ohio and the late Billy J. Faulkner. He was a graduate of Eaton High School in Preble County.

Mr. Faulkner retired from the telecommunications industry. He had worked for AT&T and JayTel Communications.

He was an active member of the Bible Baptist Church in Wilmington. He served several years with the Chester Township Fire Department. He enjoyed NASCAR and NHRA. He liked to hunt and fish.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two daughters, Michelle Brown of Blanchester and Christi (Larry) McCleaf of York, Pennsylvania; two brothers, Larry (Jenny) Faulkner of Englewood, Ohio and David (Rosa) Faulkner of Dawsonville, Georgia; three grandchildren, Kevin H. Brown, Cheyenne Brown and Ian McCleaf; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted noon Thursday, March 2 at Bible Baptist Church of Wilmington, 55 Megan Drive, Wilmington. Friends may call from 10 a.m to noon Thursday at the church. The interment will be held at a later date in Bear Creek Cemetery, Trotwood, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be made to Bible Baptist Church, 55 Megan Drive, Wilmington, OH 45177.
