2 seriously injured in crash

The Clinton-Warren Joint Fire District responded to a single-car accident at 1 a.m. Saturday on State Route 380 near Todds Fork Road. Two people had to be extricated with hydraulic power tools after the vehicle hit a utility pole, entrapping occupants. The force of the impact pushed the driver’s seat into the passenger side of the vehicle. A medical helicopter was unable to fly because of heavy fog, and both victims were transported to Clinton Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. Also responding were Chester Twp. Fire Department, Ohio State Highway Patrol, Clinton County Sheriff’s deputies and DP&L.
