WILMINGTON — Jen’s Deli, Anna Stockton Photo and AK Rustic Photography are teaming up to offer studio portraits with the Easter Bunny to benefit a 6-year-old Wilmington girl, Aubrie Hysell.

Aubrie is sociable, energetic, full of life, loves music and the piano and has a contagious laugh and smile.

Aubrie has autism and cerebral palsy. At age 6, she is nonverbal, not potty-trained, and cannot feed or dress herself. She has a weakened immune system, and for the most part is mentally on the level of an 18-month-old.

HBOT (Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy) for Autism and Cerebral Palsy is $100 per treatment at Sara’s Garden; but since the plan is for her to received at least 40 HBOT treatments, the cost adds up quickly.

For Aubrie to be enrolled this year at one-month summer camp at Sara’s Garden, intervention and therapy services for camp will cost $2,800. It will be tailored to her needs and help her work toward independence.

A Fundraiser for Aubrie will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 1 at Jen’s Deli at 28 W. Main St., Wilmington. For $12 (cash only) you can get a professional studio portrait with digital image (available for download within 1-2 weeks) and help Aubrie meet her fundraising goal to receive treatment and experience summer camp.

One-hundred percent of proceeds benefit Aubrie’s stay at Sara’s Garden, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit facility. Any contributions are tax-deductible.
