Farmers direct donations to EC FFA

0

Clinton County farmers Donald Fisher and family and Kirk Walker and family won the opportunity to direct a $2,500 donation from the America’s Farmers Grow Communities program, sponsored by the Monsanto Fund, to the East Clinton FFA Chapter (pictured). East Clinton FFA will use the funds to help pay for student FFA activities through the FFA such as judging contests, other career development events and learning events, and trips offered through the calendar year in FFA. The Grow Communities program’s purpose is to make a positive impact in farm communities by partnering with farmers to support the causes that are important to them in their communities. Each year, farmers enter for a chance to win a $2,500 donation that they direct to a local nonprofit.
