EC FFA in State Spring CDE’s

The East Clinton FFA recently competed in the State Spring CDE’s for Dairy Judging, Milk Products, Equine Judging, Livestock Judging and Wildlife.

The Livestock team finished 41st out of 176 teams. Denver Bernard was highest on the team at 48th.

The Equine team placed 47th overall out of 124 teams. Nicole Longenecker was highest placing on the team.

The Milk Quality and Products team of Dakota Zurface, AJ Roerich, Grace Cooper, Hannah Pickering, Alexa Garen and Rheanna McQueen placed fifth in the state, earning another banner for the school. Dakota earned highest honors, placing 14th in the state and AJ placed 15th. Hannah placed 25th and Grace placed 31st.

The FFA Dairy Judging team of Tabby Vance, Taylor Boeckmann, Gracie McCarren, Denver Bernard, Grace Cooper, Hannah Pickering, Brendon Walters, Nathan Vest, Ashley Kinner, Bailey Corcoran, Dakota Slone and Shelby Williams are currently placed fourth in the State Dairy Judging prelims. Tabby was 11th overall, Taylor was 21st and Gracie was 28th.

They will compete in Finals on April 28 for first place in the state.

Also, Olivia Wood placed seventh and Veronica Brewer placed 12th in dairy handlers.
