Nonetheless, caps rain down at the event’s conclusion as the newly graduated members of the Class of 2017 celebrate their years-long educational achievements. There came a point Saturday during the East Clinton High School commencement when the tradition of the turning of the tassel was observed. Moving the tassel from one side of the cap to the other signifies the earning of a diploma.
