GPE debuts new flight simulator at CC Airport

WILMINGTON – Great Plains Enterprises, LLC Flight Training Center has taken delivery of a new DCX MAX ProMotion Flight Simulator for their flight training facility at the Clinton County Airport. The DCX MAX is the first full-motion reconfigurable general aviation trainer in the Southern Ohio area that is approved by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

The simulator will train the next generation of pilots and provide currency training to pilots. “The choice of the DCX MAX ProMotion Flight Simulator by Great Plains Enterprises, LLC speaks to its exceptional fidelity and versatility when utilized in a high quality training environment,” said GPE President David Hoover

The DCX MAX ProMotion Flight Simulator is a newly developed and highly versatile flight training system that can be easily reconfigured with 37 proprietary aircraft types; this allows the pilot to fly his aircraft type while training. The system boasts worldwide visual and navigational databases. The DCX MAX ProMotion system comes complete with full metal cockpit enclosure, dynamic control loading, modern avionics, 225-degree visual system and ProMotion full-motion cueing system.

GPE been owned and operated since 2012 by David Hoover, the Chief Flight Instructor and Managing Director. He holds an ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot’s License) with more than 20,000 flying hours.
