Helping with government agencies

0

As we continue to make our way through the first few months of the new Congress, I want to make sure you know about the services my office can provide to the constituents of Ohio’s 15th Congressional District. With an office in Washington, D.C. and offices across the district in Lancaster, Wilmington, and Hilliard, Ohio, my staff and I are here to assist you and ensure you receive the highest quality of constituent service.

Navigating federal agencies can be a daunting and often difficult task. While it is important to know that I am unable override decisions made by agencies, my staff is able to submit inquiries to help answer questions, find solutions, and cut through red tape for issues that are preventing you from receiving crucial benefits and services.

With Tax Day quickly approaching, assisting you with the Internal Revenue Service is just one of the many federal agencies my office can help you navigate. My staff is able to help if you are receiving delayed tax refunds, filing extensions that are needed in difficult times, or in potential cases of identity theft in the tax system.

I can also intervene on your behalf if you do not believe you are receiving appropriate benefits, serv

ices, and documentation from the Social Security Administration, Medicare, and the Department of Veterans Affairs (V.A.). The military caseworker in my office is also able to work with the branches of the military and the Department of Defense to help veterans receive military service medals and ribbons that had been misplaced or never awarded.

Outside of assisting with claims before federal agencies, my office can also provide other services to you and your family. Washington, D.C. is a popular spring break destination, and my office can assist you with arranging tours of the Capitol Building and providing information on other tourist sites in the area.

Due to the high demand during spring break, these requests should be submitted well in advance to ensure availability. To request tours and information, please submit a tour request on my website at stivers.house.gov.

These are just a few of the ways my office can help you. If you have questions about any issue with a federal agency or any of the services listed above, I invite you contact my Washington, D.C. office at (202) 225-2015, Hilliard office at (614) 771-4968, Lancaster office at (740) 654-2654, or Wilmington office at (937) 283-7049. You can also find more information on my website at stivers.house.gov.
