Send a farmer to Washington

While the Agriculture Secretary was in town, I met Scott Wharton. He is a farmer from Amanda, Ohio in Fairfield County. His farm name was on the side of his pickup truck. He is running for the House of Representatives from our district.

I know I am biased, but I think there should be more farmers in Washington, D.C. They carry the values of Thomas Jefferson — agrarianism of economic and social stability rooted in the land. Washington could benefit from down-to-earth people.
