CM 8th grade boys top Trace; 7th grade falls

The Clinton-Massie eighth grade boys basketball team defeated Miami Trace Monday night to start the 2016 portion of the schedule.

The seventh grade Falcons were defeated by Miami Trace 45-15.

In the eighth grade game, Aaron Williams, Grant Avey and Carsyn Valentine had 6 points each for the Falcons, coach Aaron Faucett said.

Tate Olberding and Nolan Pringnitz scored 5 points each and Bo Harner added 4. Seth Goodall tossed in 3 points and Austin Faucett, Garrett Trampler and Davis Wulf had 2 points each. Caleb Adams rounded out the scoring with a free throw.

For the seventh grade, Jordan Redman had 10 points to lead Ken Lydy’s Falcons in scoring.

Tyler Roberts had 3 points and Logan Myers and Dakota Gasaway had 1 point each.
