The Blanchester eighth grade boys basketball team was defeated by Mt. Orab 43-40 in overtime Monday night.

Tanner Creager’s three-pointer at the fourth quarter buzzer sent the game into overtime. Blanchester (3-2 on the year) trailed by 5 points with 12 seconds remaining in the fourth, coach Brad Ballinger said.

Creager finished with 11 points and 5 assists. Avin Whitaker had 6 points and 3 assists. Hunter Bare had 4 points and 3 blocked shots. Jay Ashcraft had 2 points and Braden Roy had 2 points and 3 assists. Chantz Dalton tossed in 2 points.
