The Rodger O. Borror eighth grade girls basketball team struggled offensively but remained unbeaten with a 28-25 win over Miami Trace Thursday night.

The Lady Hurricane (7-0 on the year) were led in scoring by Sami McCord and Jasmine Jamiel, who had 6 points each. McCord had 7 rebounds, a steal and a blocked shot. Jamiel had 3 rebounds and 3 steals.

Olivia Veidt had 5 points, 6 rebounds and 2 steals. Sophie Blessing and Allie Kees had 4 points each. Kees also grabbed a rebound. Blessing also had a rebound. Karlie Morgan had 3 points, 3 steals and 3 rebounds. Lexi Evans blocked a shot.

Coach Ken Fliehman was not happy with a 4-for-16 performance at the free throw line, but was pleased with the team’s 6 turnovers.
