The Rodger O. Borror eighth grade boys basketball team is 7-3 on the year after a 52-20 win over Greenfield Thursday night.
Brady Evans and Cameron Coomer had 16 points each to pace the Hurricane offense.
Led by Chris Custis’ defense spark, Borror outscored Greenfield 28-3 in the third quarter. A 23-14 halftime lead turned into a 51-17 rout. Nine different players from Wilmington scored in the third.
Domonic Davidson, Jordan Macik, Tyler Parks, Trace Robinson, Jack Murphy, Blake Rhodehamel and Custis all put points on the board for the Hurricane.
On Monday, Borror defeated Hillsboro 35-27. The Hurricane defense held the Indians to 10 points in the first half. Evans led the offense with 12 points. Coomer added 10 while Murphy, Rhodehamel and Conner Mitchell also scored for Wilmington.
On Saturday, ROB lost to Waynesville 37-28.
