The Blanchester seventh grade girls basketball team was defeated by Clermont Northeastern 38-30 Wednesday night.
Casey Kingsland and Brinli Crosley had nine points each to the Ladycats. Kingsland had four rebounds, two assists and a steal. Crosley had two rebounds, two blocked shots and a steal.
Lana Roy played well defensively, coach Bella Cook said, and finished with five points, four steals, two rebounds and an assist. Maddie Wells was 3-for-3 at the free throw line. She also had a rebound and two steals.
Caili Baumann had two points and two rebounds. Becca Kratzer had two points and Maddie Pohlman had a rebound.
“Despite the loss, the coaches are proud of the improvement and dedication we see in this team,” Cook said.
