Bouncing back from its first loss of the season, the Rodger O. Borror Middle School eighth grade girls basketball team defeated Washington 42-25 Thursday night.
Jasmine Jamiel had 11 points to pace the ROB offense while Sami McCord and Karlie Morgan had eight points each. Olivia Veidt had seven points while Sophie Blessing tossed in six and Allie Kees scored two.
Lexi Evans had two rebounds. Morgan had nine rebounds, seven steals and a blocked shot. McCord also had five rebounds, two steals and two blocked shots. Blessing had two rebounds and a steal. Jamiel had two rebounds and two steals. Veidt grabbed eight rebounds and blocked a shot. Kees had a rebound.
The Lady Hurricane, now 12-1 on the year, played at a high pace in the game, coach Ken Fliehman said, and had just 11 turnovers.
