CM bowling teams close regular season with sweep

The Clinton-Massie bowling teams closed out their regular season schedule by sweeping Wilmington and Greeneview Feb. 12 at Royal Z Lanes.

It was Senior Night as all three schools use Royal Z Lanes as their home venue.

Clinton-Massie honored six seniors from the girls team — Gwen Broderick, Katie Starnes and Kathryn Wilson, Josie Wolfe and Rachel Cochran and Casey Cochran. The boys team did not have any seniors on the team.

The Massie boys had 2,398 and defeated Wilmington by 50 pins. Joey Marburger had games of 251 and 199 to finish with 450 series. Jacob Wellman had a 360 series (193, 167).

Aric France had 346 (170, 176), David Poynter 356 (221, 135), Corey Potts (180) and Chandler Morsch (169).

The Baker games were 172, 203 and 161.

For the Lady Falcons, Katie Starnes had a 213 game and led with a 382 series.

Gwen Broderick had 159 and 197 games. Josie Wolfe had a 225 series (108, 117), Kathryn Wilson 272 series (133, 139). Casey Cochran had a 140 game and Rachel Cochran had an 88 game.

Baker games were 150 and 154.

The reserve girls for CMHS had 1,144 while Wilmington had 1,007.

Brittany Fry had games of 165 and 162. Carole Umstead had a 274 series (113, 161). Jennifer Callewaert had games of 73 and 92. Baker games were 136, 117 and 125.
