Wilmington High School senior Jordan Ianson has signed to play baseball with Heidelberg University. Ianson will begin this third year as a member of the WHS varsity baseball team. WHS baseball coach Rick Kneisel said Ianson was the rookie of the year for WHS as a sophomore and then received the Greg Robinson Award as the team’s outstanding pitcher. Ianson, the son of Ken and Robin Ianson, has pitched 48 and 46.2 inning the past two season and has led the Hurricane in strikeouts each season. “He will be leaned on heavily this coming season, not only for his presence on the mound, but for the leadership he brings to the team,” Kneisel said.
