BLANCHESTER — Blanchester scored seven runs with two outs in the fifth inning in an 11-2 win over Clermont Northeastern Wednesday in a Southern Buckeye Athletic & Academic Conference National Division game on the BHS diamond.

Blanchester (1-3 overall, 1-1 in SBCN) struggled offensively Tuesday in a loss to Felicity.

“We did the complete opposite tonight,” BHS coach Jamey Grogg said. “We put together another solid defensive performance behind Maddie’s outstanding effort on the mound.”

Madison Curless went seven strong innings, allowing four hits and one earned run.

Dakota Demitt had a “nice running catch in centerfield” and Jay Dalton and Elecia Patton also made several nice plays, Grogg said.
