ECMS boys 6th at Waynesville Inv.

WAYNESVILLE — The East Clinton Middle School boys track and field team finished sixth Saturday at the Waynesville Invitational.

Brendon Walters was first in the discus with a toss of 116-4. He has a PR this season of 133-6 and is the ECMS record holder in the discus.

Matthew Mitchell was third in the shot put with a 33-1 effort. His best this season is 35-0. Kwaid Baker had a PR of 31-5.

Mitchell matched his PR by clearing 5-0 in the high jump and he finished seventh. Caden Stewart posted a PR by clearing 4-10 in the high jump.

Freddy Morgan set a PR of 12-3 in the long jump. Patrick Dotson was third in the 100-meter dash in 12.7 seconds.

Avery Wood ran 6:01 in the 1,600-meter run for a new personal best. Jacob Howard had a PR in the 1,600 with a time of 6:15.

Walters ran a PR 30.8 and was sixth in the 200-meter hurdles. Todd Wedding had a PR of 27.7 in the 200-meter dash. Morgan also had a PR in the 200-meter dash with a 30.5 second run.
