Wilmington played catch-up the entire game and fell to Miami Trace 11-7 Wednesday in South Central Ohio League softball action on the WHS diamond.
WHS trailed 1-0, 2-1, 7-3 and 11-5. The only lead for the Lady Hurricane was 3-2 in the bottom of the fourth inning.
“We are struggling to put a complete game together,” WHS head coach Glen Blessing said. “Too many ups and downs, but we will just keep working on it and celebrate the small victories for now.”
Cherokee McClaskie had three hits to lead the WHS offense. Lyla Self, Madi Flint and Hannah Chase had two hits each. Chase had a first-inning homerun.
