BLANCHESTER — Madison Curless had five hits at the plate and led a 27-hit attack as Blanchester defeated Bethel-Tate 24-12 Monday in a Southern Buckeye Athletic & Academic Conference game at BHS.

The Ladycats are 8-8 overall and 6-2 in the league.

Curless had a pair of doubles and drove in four runs, as did Jay Dalton. Shayla Sicurella and Dakota Demitt had four hits each. Hannah Mann had three hits and three runs batted in. Elicia Patton and Shelbie Rose had three hits each. Kassidy Abney homered and drove in three runs.

“What I liked about our offense was that we hit the entire game,” BHS coach Jamey Grogg said. “Often times a team that hits early will have a letdown later in the game and that did not happen.”

Despite the win, Grogg was not happy with his defense that committed six errors.
