Falcons JV baseball posts 4 straight win

Alec Thomas picked up the pitching victory in relief of starter Kenton McInerney. Thomas gave up two hits in two innings. McInerney had a strikeout in two innings. Spencer Branham pitched a third of an inning while Corey Mays struck out one in two-thirds of an inning.

Tyler Lewis had two hits while Thomas, Cam Collett, Keith Mineer and Tyler Beam had one hit each.

In all, the Falcons drew seven walks. Clinton-Massie scored nine runs in the first on four walks and five Goshen errors.

On Monday, Clinton-Massie defeated Chillicothe 11-1 in five innings.

Luke Chappie struck out six and gave up three hits while earning the win on the mound.

Mineer and Spencer Branham had two hits each. Collett, Thomas, Beam, May and Chappie had one hit each.

In a Saturday doubleheader against Fayetteville, the Falcons won both games 18-2 in five innings and 6-2 in seven innings.

In the first game, Collett pitched a complete game five-hitter. He struck out four. Collett also had two hits at the plate.

Ashdain Martin had two hits while Mineer, Beam, May and Matt Asher had one hit each. The Falcons drew 15 walks at the plate.

In the second game, Martin struck out six in a complete game win.

Lewis had two hits while Thomas, Beam, Chappie and Martin had one hit each.
