Cavs top ’Cane 2nd time this season

CHILLICOTHE — For the second time this season, the Wilmington High School tennis team dropped a South Central Ohio League match to Chillicothe. On Friday, the Cavs defeated the Hurricane 4-1.

“My boys competed well but lost to a good Chillicothe team,” WHS head coach Steve Reed said.

Wilmington is 9-4 overall and 8-2 in the SCOL. Chillicothe is 10-3 overall and 10-0 in the SCOL.

Matt Keiter posted the lone WHS win, a 6-2, 6-3 decision at first singles. Reed said Keiter is 8-1 in league play.
