Three East Clinton eighth grade athletes competed in the Ohio Middle School Track & Field State Championships Saturday at Dublin Scioto High School.

Camille Hughes, competing in Div. II, finished seventh in the shot put (37-3) and eighth with a toss of 94-0 in the discus. Hughes becomes the first middle school athlete in track in school history to place in multiple events at the state level.

On the boys side, Brendon Walters and Owen Dalton competed in Div. III action in the discus. Walters finished eighth (126-2) and Owen was 22nd (94-5) with a personal best throw.

This marks the end of a great season for these East Clinton athletes and provides a bright and exciting future for the East Clinton Track program.
