The Wilmington Hurricane 12U select baseball team will be hosting tryouts for the 2017 season on the following dates: 6 p.m. Sunday, 6 p.m. Aug. 3 and 9 a.m. Aug. 6.

All tryouts will take place at the ballfield at Holmes Elementary school and players need to attend at least one of the sessions listed. Players are welcome to attend more than one.

Players cannot turn 13 years old before May 1, 2017 in order to meet league requirements. Players do not need to attend Wilmington City Schools in order to play on the team.

Boys from the surrounding area with baseball experience are welcome and encouraged to attend tryouts. The team will be playing in the Midwest Ohio Select league.

Fees are expected to be approximately $175 with uniform, equipment and tournament fees to be determined. This is a competitive team that also will travel and compete in a variety of local and regional tournaments.
