Gabby Woods of Sabina finished third in the Drive, Chip & Putt Championship Sub-Regional tournament Saturday at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin.
Competing in the 14-15 year old age group, Woods won the putting portion of the competition. There were 14 players who competed in the event.
Woods is the first of two alternates for the regional portion of the competition. The regional event will be held at Oakmont Country Club in Pennsylvania, site of this year’s men’s United States Open tournament.
Two competitors finished the sub-regional with 92 points. Woods totaled 89 points (60 putting, 13 driving, 16 chipping).
